Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC (born March 4, 1954) is a Canadian-American actress and comedian. O'Hara has been awarded numerous prizes which include one Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also received two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was appointed as an Officer of Canada. She was also presented with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara first became known for her acting in the year 1974, as a member of The Second City in Toronto. Together with John Candy, O'Hara was part of the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). The following year, O'Hara and Candy began working on the sketch comedy series Second City Television (1976-1984) in which she received praise from critics for her work as a comic actress as well as a writer, securing an Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for an Variety Series in 1981. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the new Second City artistic advisory board headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
